Objectives

All teams arriving into Africa will first land at the great Victoria Falls in Zambia. Once there they will spend the first two days of the mission at the Overland Missions operational base do training and orientation for the mission.

From this base, teams board our overland trucks which will take them to the locations that the specific trip is working in. These locations include the countries of Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Angola, Namibia, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zanzibar, and South Africa.

Teams will fly into exotic Victoria Falls, Zambia. The falls are traditionally known as “The Smoke that Thunders” because of the mist that rises as the water falls into the rocky depths of the Batoka Gorge hundreds of feet below. The Tonga tribe live in the area surrounding the falls and are ruled by urban legends and mysteries told by their ancestors about giant snakes and dominions in the skies. Overland Missions' teams bring light and truth to the people of the Tonga tribe.

During the day the teams will disperse into the bush on expedition trucks displaying the love of Christ. The team will remain camped at the falls every night. Victoria Falls is ranked as one of the best places in the world for adventure sports such as, white- water rafting, elephant riding, and jet boating. Though ministry will be our main objective, time will be made for some adventure sports.Â
