Objectives

Arriving in Africa at the great Victoria Falls, the team will spend the first two days of the mission at Rapid 14 the Overland Missions logistical base in the region. At Rapid 14 there will be a full training and orientation for the missions. From this base teams board the overland trucks that will take them to the locations that the specific trip is working in. These locations include the countries of Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Angola, Namibia, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Congo and South Africa.

Teams will arrive at the airport in exotic Victoria Falls, Zambia. Victoria Falls is traditionally known as “The Smoke that Thunders" because of the mist that rises as the water falls into the rocky caldrons of the Batoka Gorge hundreds of feet below. The Tonga tribe in the area are ruled by urban legend and mysteries told by their ancestors about giant snakes and dominions in the skies. Overland Missions teams bring light and truth to the villages of these beautiful people. The team will be based at Rapid 14 and disperse into the bush on expedition trucks for ministry. Victoria Falls is ranked as one of the best places in the world for adventure sports like white-water rafting, bungee jumping, jet boating and many other such activities.
