Objectives

Catholicism is the primary religion in Mexico and we will be working with the local pastors to strengthen and encourage the church. We will travel through the coastal towns of the Baja Peninsula, using our specially outfitted 4x4 expedition vehicles to reach the isolated areas. During the days we will do evangelism in the towns and at night we will organize larger gatherings of those who have come to know the Lord. This is an opportunity for them to be introduced to other believers and learn basic biblical principles. This will help to keep the believers connected to the body of Christ and help encourage them in the development of their faith.

Description

In the northwest portion of Mexico is the Baja Peninsula. The narrow peninsula is surrounded by the sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean and stretches nearly 800 miles through deserts, mountains and wilderness. Most of these areas can only be accessed by 4x4 expedition vehicles. The objective of this journey is to explore the region, build relationships with the local church and preach the gospel in neglected areas. The team should be prepared to sleep in tents, shower from a bucket, travel off-road and show the love of Christ to whomever we meet!
