Recruiting for the Dream!

Over the past month I have had the privilege to travel and speak at various colleges and churches about our work in remote and neglected areas around the world. I find myself explaining and re-explaining the same principles to many different people. How the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few…how Jesus would go out of His way to find the one lost sheep out of the 100…how it is such a God-given privilege to travel down some of the most remote paths on earth to speak to only a few. Is it numbers we seek for, or to be obedient to God’s task that He’s given to us? Obviously, we strive to walk in obedience to His calling and His commissioning. In America, there are at least a few in each crowd that connect with our vision and choose to join us in the task. It is difficult to expound upon the realities of life and the need for the gospel some 12,000 miles away! But, we rely upon the Holy Spirit to move men’s and women’s hearts toward our purpose: to reach and disciple the lost in the remotest territories on earth. I spoke at a college in Pennsylvania recently and a student came up to our team afterward. He (we’ll call him Jack) had been struggling to overcome a negative pattern in his life for years. We counseled him on who Christ was on the inside of him and how the power and nature of sin was completely shattered in his life. There were small glimmers of hope in his eyes that night as we prayed and encouraged him to walk as a new creation in Christ. I spoke with Jack on the phone again recently and I could tell a change had occurred! There was a confident sound and assurance in his voice. He is traveling with us this summer to the nations and he feels God nudging him to become a missionary! It is amazing how the power of God can set someone free in an instant and redirect the course of their life for His purposes! When you recruit for God’s dream, He makes your dreams come true as well! What is God calling you to? What is His dream for your life? It might include coming to remote and forgotten peoples with us this year? I can assure you that if you don’t go, very few will. These aren’t vacation destinations that people flock to. They are the “uttermost parts of the earth”, and there are plenty of them around! What’s on your calendar this year? Consider coming with us to bless the nations with the mighty and unmatched sound of the gospel! Come with us as we recruit for the “dream life” of bringing the gospel to the uttermost parts of the earth. I promise that you, and these areas, will never be the same!
