Not Guilty!

VioletNot corrupted or tainted with evil; sinless; pure; harmless...every child has the right to grow up to be pure and innocent.

John 10:10 says: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

We were honored to host  Willem and Olindia Bresser in June as they presented the “Not Guilty” Conference on the prevention of sexual abuse.  We were reminded that two plans exist for each person, God’s plan and Satan’s plan and that we have a choice as to which plan we choose.  Obviously, sexual abuse is part of Satan’s plan to steal, kill and destroy.

It was our experience that even in Zambia people were, in ignorance, choosing Satan’s plan.  We wanted to expose our LIFE Team to the truth concerning these issues.  We trusted God to break cultural strongholds, to bring light to the darkness and to allow His truth to set people free.

The conference was a huge success and we are excited about the fruit that will grow out of this.  My favorite testimony comes from Joseph, one of our local Zambian leaders.  He shared that, even though it was hard for him to listen to all the information, he can so clearly see the need for education on the prevention on sexual abuse.  He shared the story of a village girl that ended up being raped, simply because she didn’t know what sex was, and someone volunteered to “educate” her.

Continue to pray for us as we work on a strategy to teach others in Zambia, especially the teachers and children of our LIFE schools, on the prevention of sexual abuse.

Willem and Olindia’s vision is to see the next generation of children free of sexual abuse.  This is also our dream for the children of Zambia.
