Simwatachela Expedition, June

Description

Imagine living your entire life in a rural village where the knowledge of your existence is unknown to your own government. Your geographic isolation allows disease to decimate those you love, while the dependency on witch doctors has caused a spiritual oppression that has ravaged your people. This is just a glimpse of the spiritual climate you’ll encounter while on your expedition in Zambia. The Message you bring, as an ambassador of Christ is the only hope for change in a culture which suffers from isolation, disease and spiritual oppression*.

Objectives

Your expedition will focus on evangelism and discipleship as you preach the Gospel and strengthen the local church. Your team will be a part of Overland Missions’ vision of sector management, pioneering into new regions, building lasting relationships, and empowering the indigenous church to reach their own people. Additional activities could include: agricultural work, orphan and widow care, and physical labor at the Rapid 14 logistical operations base.

*Upon acceptance onto the team you will have access to a comprehensive Expedition Orientation. Full details for the expedition as well as guidelines on how to prepare are contained in this document.
