AMT Application Page

If you would like to apply for the AMT training, here is what you need to do.

1. Download the AMT application and AMT pastoral reference forms.

2. Complete the AMT application form and submit the completed form to our US office along with the $50 application fee.

3. Communicate with your pastor about what you are doing and give your pastor the pastor reference form.  The pastor will need to submit the form directly to Overland Missions.  Instructions for getting the form back to us are included with the pastoral reference form.

4. Once we receive both the AMT application form (with fee) and the pastoral reference form, we will contact you to schedule a telephone interview.  In most cases, your acceptance will be determined at the conclusion of the telephone interview.

5. Once your application has been approved, you’ll be instructed to send in the $500 AMT deposit which will hold your position in the class that you’ve selected.

6. You’ll receive an orientation packet by e-mail that will give you comprehensive details about what you will need to do to prepare to be a successful AMT student.  This orientation packet will also address many questions that you have about your time in Zambia.  Read through this orientation packet carefully and call the office if you have any questions about the information contained in the orientation packet.  The packet also contains information about the schedule of payments that you will be following as well as tips and suggestions for raising support for your mission training.

7. We’ll give you regular updates on your fund-raising and follow-up with you about your preparation requirements.

8. As your departure dates draw near, we will connect you to a Facebook group with your AMT classmates.  This group will provide an opportunity for you to get connected with your classmates and get to know one another before you meet in Zambia.

9. You will be able to get immigration visa for your stay in Zambia at the airport when you arrive. See your orientation packet.

10. Before you depart for Zambia you will receive the majority of your course textbooks which you will take with you.
