Welcome to Advanced Mission Training. AMT is a program that will propel you into the mission fields of the neglected tribes of the earth. Whether your calling is Africa, South America, Southeast Asia or beyond, we will train you to effectively and strategically reach different ethnic tribes with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

AMT is a starting block that will forward your journey to fulfill God’s missionary dream for your life.

You will be trained in 16 subjects that are a mixture between classroom learning and practical field exercises. For three months you will live at our Rapid 14 mission base located at the Victoria Falls, Zambia. You will spend time ministering in remote villages that have rarely been visited since the days that Dr. David Livingstone was exploring Africa to preach the gospel and abolish the slave trade.

You will be part of a team of 20 people who are of like mind and faith and who are all there to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. You will experience a unique and challenging missionary training course that will prepare you to handle any road…any load…any time.

Graduates of AMT have the opportunity to apply for internships within one of Overland Missions’ departments. AMT is the gateway to enter into full time missionary service with Overland Missions. To become a student, fill out the application form and have your pastor fill out the pastoral recommendation form. Once we have received your full application, we will contact you for a live interview. If selected for AMT, you will soon see what it takes to reach the neglected people of the earth with the gospel of Jesus Christ, in this generation.

“AMT was such a blessing to my life. I didn’t really know my gifts and what I could do in Christ until I did AMT. I discovered what God really had for my life on the AMT village expeditions. My life was changed by all the wonderful courses we did. I will never be the same again.” – Jack, May 2008 AMT Graduate

“I had an amazing experience during AMT, totally life changing. I felt like I was introduced to God on a whole new level and am able to move through the next phase of my life with confidence and peace. I will remember this as the place I fell in love with Jesus, I can’t thank you enough.” – Tom, September 2009 Graduate

“AMT was definitely an adventure of a lifetime, but it went beyond that and really proved to be a life changing experience of just seeing the greatness of God and of life in Him. The most memorable experience for me was standing in a little mud hut sharing the gospel with a group of villagers and then being able to lead over 15 of them in the prayer of salvation. Nothing will ever compare to a moment like that and it is definitely something I will never forget.” – Stephanie, September 2008 Graduate
